Our Values

Sheffield Pickleball Club started in November 2024 as a non-profit, community club run by volunteers.
Our aim is to get as many people enjoying pickleball as possible, all across Sheffield.

We have three objectives:

• To be a welcoming club, inclusive to all

• To encourage high participation

• To provide geographical accessibility with a high number venues across the city

Achievements in 2026 so far …

Club Tournament‍s ‍
Mixed Doubles Tournaments took place on Saturday 1st August and 31st October 2026. Our Female Doubles Tournament took place on 5 September 2026. We also celebrated World Pickleball Day on 10th October with a free, social, non-competitive outdoor tournament.

New outdoor courts created: SPC in Partnership with Sheffield City Council
Sheffield has become the UK’s leading city for outdoor pickleball, with 18 new courts available from Summer 2026 in parks across the city. We are also a partner in the newly developed outdoor pickleball courts at Millhouses Park, which are free and accessible to the public.

SPC attract large crowds at Olympic Legacy Event - June 2026
A fantastic day hosting pickleball at the Olympic Legacy event. It was non-stop pickleball for 5 hours with all three courts full. Always wonderful to introduce children and families to the sport seeing everyone playing together with fun rallies and lots of laughter.

Charity Fundraising Event - 17th May 2026
12 hour musical non-stop pickleball event raising money for St Lukes Hospice at Hallam Community Hall.

SPC players success at UK Pickleball Tournament at Graves Leisure Centre - 28th & 29th March 2026 and 4th & 5th October 2026
A massive well done to all our members who took part in the Sheffield Pickleball Tournaments this year. A big congratulations to Russ and Ashton who came first in the 3.0, 50+ doubles in March 26! Our first ever club winners. Well done to AJ and Ruth for achieving Silver in the 50+ 3.0 doubles.
